A big Camp Liberty THANK YOU to everyone who came out Saturday, whether as a volunteer for Camp Liberty Conservation Day, or as a participating biker in the Camp Liberty Charity Ride/Poker Run!

Although much of the day was rainy, the dedication of 130+ bikers brought out the sunshine. The Charity Ride/Poker Run started at 11 a.m. at Town and Country Sports Center and included 5 stops along the route through Lenawee, Hillsdale, and Jackson Counties before finishing at Camp Liberty.
The event was complete with food trucks, DJ, 50/50 raffle, and gift baskets for lucky ticket holders. About $6,000 was raised for Camp Liberty.
Camp Liberty is very thankful and appreciative of all in attendance who lifted spirits and helped fundraise so we could continue our outdoor recreation programs for veterans and first responders.
Camp Liberty provides activities and fellowship in a beautiful 137-acre natural setting, complete with the River Raisin bordering the property, a new fishing pond, an archery range. Our Board is just now in the process of raising funds to purchase the land it has been leasing to secure it for our future and yours. Your donations will help make that possible along with our ongoing programming.

Camp Liberty holds four annual deer hunts, two pheasant hunts, and a turkey hunt. Service members (active and retired) and first responders are eligible to participate in these hunts. Hunters are selected by lottery and get a 3-5-day stay at our beautiful onsite lodge, including free meals during the hunt. Camp Liberty also provides resources to veterans and first responders in need and is happy to support them in any way it can.
The next Camp Liberty event open to the public is the annual Fall Festival and 5K Run/Nature Walk on Saturday, September 26th at 10 a.m. Follow Camp Liberty on Facebook, check back here often, or contact Melinda, our Executive Director, at (517)206-8633.
