Independence Disabled Veterans Hunt

DEER HUNTING AT CAMP LIBERTY 2024

We are pleased to announce the 2024 Deer Hunting program at Camp Liberty.  We have made a few changes to the program this year, so please review all the details below.

• Independence Hunt – October 16 – 20 – Open to disabled veterans. The application deadline is September 15.

Another new aspect of this year’s programs is that able-bodied hunters are requested to provide eight hours of volunteer assistance before the hunt for which they are selected.  Tasks will be assigned based on each person’s physical abilities and skills.  Weekend volunteer days will be coordinated.

We expect that there will be more applicants for deer hunting than Camp Liberty can accommodate.  Hunters will be determined through a random drawing administered by Camp Liberty’s Hunting Committee.  To apply to hunt at Camp Liberty, click the following link, fill out the application, and click on submit.

All those who apply will be notified if they have been selected.  Applications submitted on Facebook or Messenger will not be accepted, although general questions posted on Facebook will be answered.
