A light rain at the beginning of Camp Liberty’s Conservation event on Saturday, May 14th, did not discourage our 15 volunteers from their mission to preserve and enhance the 138 acres of Camp Liberty. The dedicated volunteers engaged in various tasks, including weeding, planting new perennials (donated by Mark Prielipp’s Greenhouse in Brooklyn), mulching, cleaning up the area, improving the seven blinds on the property in preparation for hunting season this fall, and cutting firewood. The group enjoyed yummy donuts donated by Brooklyn’s Tim Horton and a delicious lunch featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, and potato salad, generously donated by Manchester Market.
A huge thank you to our volunteers! Much was accomplished, and everyone enjoyed spending time in this special place.
