Saturday, June 28th, was a perfect day for Camp Liberty’s Summer Fundraiser and Family Picnic. Over 200 Veterans, Volunteers, and Donors came out to enjoy Camp Liberty’s grounds and activities. The Renegades provided fun music. Everyone enjoyed the horses and the petting zoo provided by AW Farms, as well as the food trucks (Rollin’ Hoagies, Great American Food Truck, and Blend & Brew Crew).
Other highlights were the bounce houses, the kids (and adult) games, the military trucks, firetrucks, the pontoon display, Hang Glider performance.
The day ended with the annual duck race on the River Raisin.
It was great to have the Irish Hills Corvette Club present a donation Check from their May Car Show. Durkee Seager Post 550 American Legion Riders, American Legion Post 0346, and Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 456 MI also presented Camp Liberty donation checks.
The 50/50 lottery winner of $240 was Terri M., who kindly donated it back to Camp Liberty.
